Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Christmas are all coming up fast. Not to mention, this year’s holiday shopping season is the shortest we’ve seen since 2013, making it even more important for eCommerce retailers to optimize their holiday offerings.

Pattern’s eCommerce experts rounded up some of the most important facts, dates, and best practices Amazon and eCommerce sellers need to keep in mind when preparing for the holidays in 2019.

Did you know?

– eCommerce sites with buy online, pick up in-store (BOPiS) offerings will see a 28% higher revenue share during the last five days of the season than those without BOPiS.

65% of shoppers are using online retailers as sources for holiday shopping research.

– Global holiday shopping is on the rise, with a projected 15% global digital revenue increase year over year.

Remember, some of these holiday strategies are evergreen, so feel free to use them for your 2020 holiday season too. Some evergreen holiday strategies include: taking advantage of higher traffic, optimizing content for higher conversion rates; boosting PPC and SEO for better organic traffic; using email campaigns (which have higher conversion rates over the holidays); and remembering Green Monday—the second Monday in December—as an important day to make sure you have holiday sales or offerings for.
