Why Integrative Therapeutics partnered with Pattern: Lack of brand control, inconsistent Amazon listings

Before Integrative Therapeutics partnered with Pattern in 2015, there was a plethora of unauthorized sellers affecting Integrative Therapeutics’ Amazon business. These unauthorized sellers were disrupting prices and creating inconsistent product information across the different listings.

What Integrative Therapeutics and Pattern accomplished together

Together Integrative Therapeutics and Pattern built a strategy focused on the following pillars:

  2. Providing quality customer service
  3. Optimize product listings and content on Amazon

This strategy would allow Integrative Therapeutics to gain back control of their ecommerce presence.

1. Eliminating unauthorized sellers

As part of Integrative Therapeutics path to ecommerce success, we worked with them to identify unauthorized sellers who were encroaching on their brand control on Amazon.

Pattern’s Predict software helped Integrative Therapeutics discover noncompliant sellers on Amazon and across the other marketplaces on the web. The insight that Pattern’s Predict omnichannel ecommerce software provided helped Integrative Therapeutics identify key contributors to their control problems including channel conflict, price erosion, and inconsistent product listings.

After discovering these unauthorized sellers, Integrative Therapeutics was able to clean up their own distribution network and remove unauthorized sellers, strengthening their brand.

Having one authorized seller (Pattern) helped their brand be represented with integrity on Amazon and the other platforms. Through our Predict software, Integrative can monitor key metrics to get an advantage.

2. Providing quality customer service

After signing with Pattern, Pattern took over Integrative’s product distribution on Amazon. This not only included keeping the products stocked in our warehouse and shipping the product but also handling the customer support that goes along with that.

A key part of this strategy included making sure that Integrative’s product was in stock and shipped in a timely manner. Pattern’s warehouse experts handled this part of the strategy while Pattern’s team of customer support specialists handled customer complaints and questions with information provided by Integrative’s team.

Pattern’s customer service engaged with consumers which ensured a positive brand experience beyond the transaction and promoted repeat customers.

3. Optimizing product listings and content on Amazon

After gaining control of the marketplace, Integrative Therapeutics worked with Pattern to create product content that would match their brand.

Pattern’s creative team worked on curating quality content (as seen below), including image stacksA+ content, and an Amazon storefront that elevated the brand, educated the viewer, and improved conversion rate.

Pattern also helped Integrative Therapeutics run new SEO and rules-based advertising campaigns in order to optimize their product listings.

Results of optimizing product listings:

After revamping Integrative’s listings and storefront, Integrative saw compound revenue growth of 39% from Jan. 2018 to Jan. 2020. Pattern experts were also able to expand Integrative’s product offerings to Google Shopping.
